540 cattle were sold at the popular Lismore Saleyards on Tuesday, 17 February 2026.
A very good line up of 98 cows sold at similar rates to those of a fortnight ago.
- Heavy cows in good nick, $3.65 - $3.80/kg
- Kerry Piper’s Brahman cow topped the cents per kilo at $3.80/kg, $2228.
- Danny Lee’s Angus x cow topped the returns at $2453.
- Secondary cows sold from $3.10 to $3.50/kg
- Light conditioned old cows $2.00 to $2.60/kg
Weaner steer prices ranged, depending on quality.
- Good quality steers with feeder or bullock potential sold from $4.80 to $5.30/kg,
- Andrew Matthew’s Brangus x yearlings $4.94/kg, $1663.
- Steve Jackson’s Charolais x weaners $5.28/kg, $1526.
- Secondary lines sold from $4.30 to $4.70/kg with plainer types $3.60 to $4.20/kg.
Heifers sold at lower rates than last sale, but many were in great condition and weighed well.
- The tops $3.85 to $4.20/kg. $950 to $1375.
- Most $3.40 - $3.80/kg
- Plain heifers, $2.70 - $3.40/kg
