Cattle Market Report for 15 June

OFF THE RAILS – LISMORE CATTLE MARKET REPORT

A very good yarding of 900 steers and heifers were sold in Lismore at the George & Fuhrmann incorporating Ian Wier & Son special weaner sale on Monday, 15/06/26.

Buyers representing restockers in Southern QLD, New England and Western district competed strongly from start to finish.

Quality lines of Euro and Angus Steers (260-300kg) with feeder potential sold from $5.30 - $5.64/kg for pleasing returns, $1,400 - $1,650.

Lighter Steers and crossbreeds sold according to quality $4.20 - $5.50/kg, $800 - $1,300.

Good runs of Euro and Angus heifers sold at improved rates with many selling between $4.60 - $4.90/kg

Secondary lines $3.60 - $4.50/kg and a few

Lightweights $2.50 - $3.20/kg
